Welcome to Coast2CoastProspects.com. Our focus shifts throughout the year and we cover everything from the MLB Draft to prospects in the minors, fantasy baseball advice and everything else about the rising stars of baseball. We tackle these debates from two different perspectives, namely East Coast and West Coast. Our two writers Ross (West Coast) and Justin (East Coast) agree about a lot, and disagree about even more. On this site you'll find two separate Top Prospect Lists, dueling Mock Drafts and scouting reports that reflect both of their observations. Agree with one and disagree with the other? Think both of us are totally off our rocker? Let us know in the comments section or send us an email!
Follow us on Twitter: @c2c_prospects For further information contact: c2c@Coast2CoastProspects.com A Word About Our ComparisonsWe treat comparisons a little differently than other sites. Most sites view comparisons as an attempt to directly predict who a player will turn out to be. If there's a big slugger in the draft class who has a big swing that only has a small chance of panning out, most sites assign a comparison to him that represents the bust potential in him. We call this the "Wily Mo Pena Effect."
We, on the other hand, like to dream on prospects a little. Our comparison for that slugger is going to be a Major League slugger. It's gonna be Ryan Howard or Kendrys Morales because when we look at a player, we want to know what he has the potential to be, however small of a chance he has of reaching it. Why mention this? Because not every player we give a comparison to is going to turn out to be as good as their Major League Comp. In fact, very few of them are going to even come close. But when you look at a prospect, you want to know what his absolute ceiling is, and here at Coast2Coast, we put that at the end of every scouting report and prospect profile. Draft LinksHere are some people that have helped Coast2Coast and promoted our material. They all do some great stuff, check them out!
